Coatings Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Muncie, Indiana.

$20-$30 per hour based on experience.

As a Coatings Specialist, you will be responsible for applying state-of-the-art coatings processes to locomotives, railcars, and other rail/locomotive components. This includes sanding, grinding, prepping, masking, taping, applying decals, and spraying.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your duties will also include operating mechanical equipment, following detailed work instructions, and utilizing precision instruments and gauges for accurate measurements.

In addition, you will be responsible for conducting daily inspections and preventative maintenance on all blast and paint equipment, power washing and cleaning railcars and locomotives, and executing bodywork, touch-ups, and repairs as necessary.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
• Skill Level I: 0-1 year of experience without technical education.
• Skill Level II: 1-2 years of experience or relevant technical certifications.
