Role Responsibilities:
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist (CLS) is responsible for executing technical laboratory tasks across various disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Microbiology. This role involves receiving and processing specimens, conducting examinations, and documenting test outcomes. The specialist analyzes results based on established test principles and their clinical relevance, ensuring quality control in accordance with performance standards. Additionally, the CLS communicates test results to authorized personnel and promptly notifies relevant staff of any abnormal findings requiring immediate attention.
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
Licensure: Certification as MT, MLS, or CLS by a recognized national professional registry is required within one year of employment.
Experience: Completion of a clinical laboratory internship is necessary, with a preference for candidates possessing two years of clinical experience.
