Lead Installer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Crew Lead to join our team at Boise Metal Works. As a Field Crew Lead, you will be responsible for effectively managing the production and efficiency of the field crew, performing tasks involving physical labor at construction sites, and operating hand and power tools of all types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of Stairs, Railing, Awnings, and other Metal Products fabricated in the shop.
- Perform similar/other duties as needed or assigned.
- Effectively manage the install crew to ensure timelines are met.
- Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted for.
- Ensure that the company vehicles are properly stocked, that defective parts are returned to the Shop, and that vehicle standard stock is ordered/replenished as needed.
- As needed, completes material requisition forms and other related administrative activities.
- Identify areas of concern and coordinate/execute prompt resolution and/or initiate escalations to resolve the issue.
- Follow all instructions in order to complete the project on time and on budget.
- Take initiative to proactively identify installation tasks and foresee issues to drive toward expedient delivery of products.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge regarding the operation, safety, and maintenance of equipment in use.
- Ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of field crew and utilities ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property, and utilities in the area.
- Valid Driver's License and a good, driving record. Position will require travel to-and-from project sites with the requirement to drive a company truck with a trailer.
- Ability to work long hours and move at least 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
- Demonstrate leadership to the field staff in the areas of customer focus and customer service; following company policies, procedures, and processes; safety rules, procedures, and practices; and the implementation of company initiatives.
- Demonstrate the willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to show up on time.
- Self-motivated.
- This role also has requirements that include climbing a ladder, use of an aerial lift, handling equipment, and lifting items up-to and over 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience as a Crew Lead.
- 2+ years of construction experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Industry Certifications preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints a plus.
