About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machining Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and coordinating the integration of machinery and equipment into our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Integration: Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, and cost analyses for integrating machinery such as CNC lathes, CNC mills, robotic controllers, and programmable controllers into manufacturing processes.
  • CNC Programming: Proficient in understanding and writing CNC (G-code) programs, ensuring optimal machine performance.
  • Installation and Testing: Oversee installation processes to ensure machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications. Test the capabilities of machines, such as robots, to perform tasks effectively.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions. Develop and conduct equipment training programs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to trainees.
  • Process Improvement: Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedules required to maintain machines in optimal condition. Develop models of alternate processing methods to test feasibility and recommend implementation of improved procedures.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of new developments in the field by participating in meetings, seminars, and training sessions. Provide technical information to stakeholders in other departments, such as marketing, legal, and engineering.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three to five years of related experience in CNC operations and equipment integration.
  • Skills: Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents and presenting information effectively to various stakeholders. Advanced mathematical skills for complex problem-solving and analysis. Strong reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with moving mechanical parts. Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
