Surgical Nurse Coordinator

Job Overview
The Albany Medical Center's Surgical Care program is expanding to meet the growing needs of our patients. With state-of-the-art operating suites and advanced robotic technology, we offer exceptional care for complex procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications to the sterile field, and document as required by organizational policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree preferred.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CNOR preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in the surgical setting.
