About the Role

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker LCSW to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will provide and oversee the provision of psychosocial care for patients with substance use disorders and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and provide interventions and treatment as indicated.
  • Identify high-risk psychosocial factors that impact patient health status and collaborate with the team to facilitate patient care.
  • Provide counseling and referrals for SUD treatment programs as part of discharge planning.
  • Advocate on behalf of patients to gain access to services and resources.
  • Document timely and relevant information, and coordinate family/team meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Current professional licensure in Massachusetts (LCSW required, LICSW preferred).
  • Minimum of one year experience working with substance use disorders and effective treatment planning and discharge planning.
  • Knowledge of specific medical/psychiatric illnesses, procedures, and treatments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills necessary to work within a team.
