Job Summary:
JobsRUs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as special events and catering services.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators, to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
- Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering and receiving stock, to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and organized.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and dishwashers, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served on time and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, including experience as a cook or kitchen manager.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and operations, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
