Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cashier Operations Specialist is accountable for delivering exceptional customer service and managing financial transactions within the cashier area. This role supports the Cage Supervisor in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of all monetary exchanges and related activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages an assigned cashier station, processing cash redemptions, check transactions, and credit card advances while also handling coupon redemptions.
  • Ensures a balanced cash drawer, performing exchanges with the vault as needed, and meticulously tracking all funds received and disbursed.
  • Provides change and breaks down bills, while remaining vigilant for counterfeit currency and verifying the authenticity of bills during transactions.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service, exemplifying the core values and mission of Prairie Flower Casino.
  • Prepares, issues, collects, and reconciles cash drawers for the department.
  • Oversees the issuance and verification of Player Club cards.
  • Confirms guest identification in accordance with established policies.
  • Utilizes computer systems, credit card processing tools, and coin handling equipment effectively.
  • Maintains high standards of accuracy and thoroughness in departmental records and reports.
  • Monitors and manages ATM/Kiosk operations, including fills, drops, and balancing.
  • Prepares cash for bank deposits and verifies currency received from armored car services.
  • Addresses guest inquiries and disputes regarding promotions and financial transactions, with or without supervisory guidance.
  • Stays informed on current Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and Title 31 requirements, ensuring compliance in tracking necessary information.
  • Upholds confidentiality and safeguards private and proprietary information.
  • Engages directly with guests and team members on-site, maintaining a strong attendance record.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Gaming License.
  • Serves as a positive representative of Prairie Flower Casino.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Preferred experience of one to two years in cash handling and customer service.
  • Exhibits a friendly, enthusiastic demeanor when interacting with the public and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, correspondence, and policy documents.
  • Capable of working independently and making informed decisions without supervision.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to analyze and act upon documentation and reports as necessary.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
