Position Summary: The primary role is to deliver exceptional food and beverage service to our patrons in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. Support operations within the Café as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive punctually in the designated uniform, prepared for the shift.
- Ensure uniform is clean and well-maintained.
- Gather and organize any required equipment for the role.
- Complete all opening and closing tasks efficiently.
- Manage guest seating in the Café, adhering to established standards.
- Remain visible at the hostess station throughout the shift, except during breaks.
- Deliver food and beverages as needed.
- Clear and reset tables consistently during the shift.
- Keep staff informed of current VIP and destination guest lists.
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Utilize reservation and spa management software effectively.
- Assist guests with reservations in a courteous manner.
- Recognize and address guests by name whenever possible.
- Express gratitude to guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of menus and wine selections.
- Maintain cleanliness at the workstation at all times.
- Regularly inspect guest restrooms for cleanliness and report any issues.
- Ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
- Stay updated with all internal communications.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
- Operate the reservation system proficiently.
- Report to the Café Manager or Supervisor before concluding the shift.
- Communicate any guest concerns or service opportunities to management promptly.
- Represent Enchantment Resort and Mii amo positively at all times.
- Promote a collaborative work environment by assisting team members as needed.
- Process in-room dining orders accurately and efficiently.
- Be knowledgeable about the resort's layout, amenities, and special events.
- Work collaboratively and efficiently as part of the team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervision: No direct reports.
Reporting Structure: Reports to Café Supervisor and Café Manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must maintain a neat appearance and exhibit flexibility, self-motivation, and a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues. Current food handler's certification is necessary. Previous experience as a host/hostess is preferred. Proficient English communication skills are essential. Computer literacy is advantageous. Exceptional phone etiquette and a service-oriented personality are required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
50% of the time spent walking.
10% of the time bending and lifting.
40% of the time standing.
Good hearing and manual dexterity required.
Distance vision of 1-3 feet necessary.
Familiarity with cleaning solutions is required.
