Key Responsibilities:
- The Rehabilitation Nursing Supervisor ensures the delivery of safe and effective patient care during off-hours, weekends, and holidays, or when senior management is unavailable.
- This role involves evaluating all departments to guarantee seamless care and communicating essential information to leadership.
- The supervisor is tasked with promptly addressing unusual incidents or patient complaints, ensuring immediate intervention when necessary.
- It is crucial to maintain an environment that prioritizes patient safety and minimizes the risk of medical errors.
- Overseeing accurate documentation, including medical necessity in patient records, is a key responsibility; this includes monitoring the completion and updates of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
- The supervisor collaborates in reviewing and assessing risk and quality metrics, patient satisfaction data, and clinical outcomes to drive continuous improvement; this information is shared with the nursing team.
- Providing education and training to nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs) is essential, ensuring timely and precise QI assessments and scoring.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with active licensure in the state; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Certification as a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a rehabilitative or acute care environment is required, along with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong skills in planning, coordinating, evaluating, and directing clinical personnel activities are essential; effective communication skills in English are necessary, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
