Key Responsibilities- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of energy market trends, including renewable resource and energy usage patterns, to inform our trading strategies.
- Risk Assessment: Develop and maintain models to assess and mitigate market risks, including price volatility and supply chain disruptions.
- Trading Support: Provide data-driven insights to support our trading team's decision-making, including analysis of market data, commodity transactions, and financial performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our trading activities comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including trading, operations, and policy teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as finance, economics, statistics, or engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in a quantitative risk management role, with a strong background in energy trading and market analysis.
- Skills: Proficiency in quantitative methods and concepts, including regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and scenario analysis. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or the Certified Energy Risk Manager (CERM), are highly desirable.
- Master's Degree: A master's degree in a quantitative field is highly desirable.
- Energy Industry Experience: 8+ years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong background in energy trading and market analysis.
- Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience building and operating quantitative models, including production cost modeling and risk analysis.
- Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience in data analysis and visualization.
