About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating suite with sterile equipment and supplies, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing essential support and maintaining a high level of patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required.
  • Surgical Tech certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pediatric care or surgical services preferred.
