Job Summary

The General Housekeeping Attendant will provide guests with an exceptional and memorable experience that showcases the hotel's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's cleanliness and appearance, primarily focusing on guest rooms, as well as other areas of the hotel, including public spaces, back-of-house areas, and outside spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and Maintain Guest Rooms: Ensure guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, including changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities and supplies.
  • Stock and Maintain Housekeeping Cart: Restock and maintain the housekeeping cart with necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Report Maintenance Issues: Promptly report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Provide Excellent Guest Service: Greet guests in hallways and public areas in a friendly and courteous manner, offering assistance and ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
  • Communicate with Hotel Associates: Communicate effectively with hotel associates in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information and resolving guest complaints and compliments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain Knowledge of Hotel Amenities: Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel amenities, special events, local area attractions, and things to do around the hotel.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive Attitude: Positive, friendly, and upbeat with the ability to deliver service authentically and make a career in hospitality.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to move, perform frequent and repetitive movements, including bending and stooping, and lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently.
  • Basic English Language Skills: Basic ability to comprehend the English language sufficient to understand information, such as labels and instructions, and basic guest requests.
