Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner role at Huntsville Hospital Health System involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for delivering comprehensive direct patient care, including obtaining thorough patient histories, performing complete physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic testing, and prescribing appropriate treatments.
Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will assume accountability for indirect care responsibilities, such as staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
**Requirements:**
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- Current registration through the Alabama Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners
- Approval of the Northwest Alabama Healthcare Authority credentialing board
- BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, and/or PALS
