Key Responsibilities

As a CNA, you will provide care to residents under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and recording vital signs.
  • Measuring and documenting height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Supporting residents during meals and ensuring proper hydration.
  • Observing residents' skin conditions and reporting any changes to the licensed nurse; providing necessary skin care.
  • Addressing residents' mental health and social service needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
