Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Blackwell Talent. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate residents/patients referred by physicians with written orders and develop treatment programs with functional long and short-term goals.
  • Provide treatment as ordered by attending physicians, interpreting, planning, establishing, and exercising proper treatment programs, and reviewing resident/patient responses and making recommendations to physicians.
  • Observe, record, and report resident/patient reactions to therapy programs and changes in condition to physicians.
  • Instruct, teach, and supervise residents/patients and family/caregivers regarding Speech therapy procedures related to therapy programs.
  • Participate in staff development activities and in-service education programs.
  • Supervise CFYs according to ASHA guidelines.
  • Adhere to federal, state, local, facility, and company standards of care and ethics, and policies concerning Speech therapy practice.
  • Meet productivity and utilization expectations established by the company.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation, including functional goal setting, progress, and therapeutic approach.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Current state licensure.
  • Current CPR certification.
