We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Burke Animal Clinic. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinary team.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, exams, and surgeries
- Provide top-notch patient care, including feeding, bathing, and administering medication
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Assist with laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalyses
- Help with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing payments
- 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting (preferred)
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of veterinary software (Avimark a plus)
- Competitive hourly rate: $19.00
