TrustPoint Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Physical Medicine and Rehab Unit team for weekend coverage. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing medical care and support to our patients under the direction of our nursing and clinical staff.
Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety and well-being by completing patient observation rounds and maintaining a clean and uncluttered patient environment.
- Assist with transferring, lifting, and turning patients, as well as obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information.
- Engage with patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
- Apply de-escalation techniques to manage patient emotions and behavior, and assist with seclusion and restraints when necessary.
- Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce positive behaviors, reporting changes and responses to treatment to the nursing team.
- Provide comfort, dignity, and privacy to patients, performing related CNA duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or license, per state requirements.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
