Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at Virginia Hospital Center, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct and indirect total nursing care to your assigned patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpretive skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will also be responsible for supervising assigned personnel, adhering to hospital policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in nursing principles, with a focus on patient-centered care. You will also need to be able to retrieve, communicate, and present information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
  • A valid Registered Nurse license from the Virginia Department of Health Professions or a Compact State Licensure in Nursing is mandatory.
  • BLS certification is also required.

Certifications and Requirements

  • ACLS certification is required for certain units, including ED, ICU, and Cardiac Cath Lab.
  • PALS certification is required for Pediatric Nurses.
  • EDNRP certification is required for NICU, Mother Baby, and Labor and Delivery.
