- Provide Direct Care: Provide direct care to patients and oversee the daily medical or behavioral health care activities of the unit.
- Staff Scheduling: Schedule staff to ensure full coverage at all times and ensure effective application of services.
- Leadership and Training: Lead, guide, and train employees performing work.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards.
- Communication: Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, case managers, coworkers, and others.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain required documentation.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Experience: Two or more years' experience as a RN required.
- Behavioral Health Experience: Two or more years' in behavioral health experience preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: One or more years' supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license within the state where facility is providing service, CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
