  • Identify and troubleshoot storage-related issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest storage technologies and best practices.

  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ years' experience in storage administration.
  • Proven experience with DDN and VAST storage solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of SANs and NAS.
  • Strong understanding of storage protocols (e.g., FC, iSCSI, NFS).
  • Experience with storage management software (e.g., DDN SFA, VAST Management Console).
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills and experience with open-source technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with storage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSAN, EMC VPLEX).
  • Experience with cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • High-Performance Storage and Parallel file systems used in HPC/AI and Cloud.
  • HPC Cluster admin experience.
Location:

This is a remote position in the United States.

Travel:

10-25% Required

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range that PenguinSolutions reasonably expects to pay for this position in the United States is $124,000 - $146,000; the pay ultimately offered within the expected range may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
