Job Title: Digital Thread Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Thread Engineer to join our team at Avance Consulting. As a Digital Thread Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our Digital Engineering Ecosystem, focusing on the Future Vertical Lift programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, elaborate, prototype, and implement digital engineering capabilities, including analytical tools, automations, visualizations, and data and system integrations.
  • Leverage your understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage data in new and valuable ways.
  • Document and communicate your approach to ensure alignment across teams.
  • Provide status updates for major program milestones.
  • Coordinate across program integrated project teams, Bell IT, and vendors.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, C#,.Net Java, Rust)
  • Experience with the CAMEO MBSE.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant technical area (e.g. engineering, physics, math, computer science).
  • Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
  • Experience with Ansys ModelCenter preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work assignments.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
  • Have effective and clear communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated communication skills needed to brief top-level management, customers and/or large groups on an occasional-to-frequent basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
What You'll Be Doing:

As a Digital Thread Engineer, you will work across the programs to prioritize, conceptualize, prototype, and implement solutions that facilitate data and system integrations, automations, and analytics across various Bell data source systems.

You will be an integral part of the overall IPT structure, working closely with customers and subcontractors to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.

Good knowledge of Automotive Harness Route and Clip.

Understanding of Automotive Harness Manufacturing and Assy processes.

Understanding of Harness component.

Understanding of Harness debugging, update and retrofitting.

Understanding of Vehicle Assembly sequence.

Understanding of Assembly instruction.

Reading Engineering drawings, Electrical harnesses and components, Mechanical parts.

Reading of Vehicle architecture drawings, Circuit Diagrams.

Reading Build Books and crosslinking it with BOM.

Inspection of Electrical and Mechanical parts as per drawings.

Reading and Generating BOM. Inspection of part as per BOM.

Vehicle inspection and reporting.

Build walks around and sign offs.

Build issues resolutions, ICAs and PCAs for Electrical and Mechanical systems.

Material / Parts, ordering, handlining and arranging.

Co-ordination between local and remote teams.

Daily, weekly Build updates to different teams.

Vehicle testing and validation.

Hand on Experience on CAD and or Harness software.

Added requirements.

Understanding of Vehicle Testing requirements and procedures.

Vehicle Homologation.

Understanding for Product development processes.
