Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transportation Specialist to join our team at Team1Medical. This is a temporary position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for transporting patients in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanitize wheelchairs before each patient using the Wheelchair High-Touch Disinfection/Inspection Protocol.
  • Follow the equipment checklist for assisting patients on and off the wheelchair.
  • Transport each patient in a safe and timely manner to the initial appointment from the entry point.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of patient care and heavy customer service experience is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to push at least 250 lbs via wheelchair are required.
  • The ability to follow directions and navigate the campus independently, good communication skills, and a great demeanor are required.
  • Must be comfortable with being on your feet the entire shift, transporting patients going through various intensive treatments.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $16.50 per hour, based on industry standards and the location in Houston, TX. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, disability, critical illness, life, vision, accident, and behavioral health insurance, as well as a 401K plan and direct deposit.
