We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Disorders Specialist to join our team at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
About the RoleThis is a PRN (on-call) position, requiring weekends and eligible for an 8% differential as well as evening, night, and weekend shift differentials. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Department Manager to provide patient care and education, perform polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and supervise other staff when needed.
Responsibilities- Gather and analyze patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, including physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status, and pertinent medical/social history.
- Complete and verify documentation, explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients, and prepare equipment for testing.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards, perform physiologic calibrations, and ensure proper signals.
- Perform polysomnographic procedures, follow procedural protocols, and establish baseline values.
- Document routine observations, implement interventions, and oversee difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions.
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to center-specific protocols and generate accurate reports.
- Certificate of completion from a polysomnography program associated with a state-licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency.
- Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (R.P.S.G.T) and current CPR certification.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and location. Additionally, the successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-matching retirement funds, employee assistance program, and REACH Air Membership.
