Industrial Manufacturing Specialist

The Engine Assembly Technician will perform critical disassembly, assembly, inspection, and testing of locomotive traction motor combo components. Working hands-on with advanced manufacturing equipment, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivering superior products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble locomotive traction motor combo components.
- Operate manual and automated equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
- Inspect work components to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for completed processes.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities.
You must have:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent technical certification.
- Experience with inspection measurement equipment and analytical testing.
- A strong understanding of lean manufacturing and quality procedures.
- Fork truck and overhead crane operation experience.
- The ability to lift and handle materials up to 75 pounds.
