About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fairfield Property Management. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and painting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the property
  • Oversee the maintenance team and collaborate with the Property Manager to ensure all maintenance goals and standards are met
  • Diagnose and solve maintenance issues ranging from plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents in a timely manner using the make-ready checklist
  • Accompany vendors into units and check the quality of work
  • Perform daily maintenance of property grounds, ensuring curb appeal is maintained
  • Maintain the maintenance shop and ensure that all necessary tools and supplies are available
Requirements
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience, preferably on a residential property
  • EPA Certification required
  • Ability to work in a professional, courteous, cooperative, tactful, and patient manner with residents, FPM employees, vendors, suppliers, and members of the public
  • Self-motivated to work independently with little guidance
  • Ability to work on-call and respond promptly and appropriately to all calls required
  • Ability to maintain reliable transportation, a current and valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance required
