Resident Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team at BrightStar Senior Living. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with their assessment and care plan.
- Provide assistance with residents' medical, clinical, personal care, transport/transfer/mobility, household, dining, recreational, and social needs.
- Take and record vital signs as directed.
- Observe and document the health, condition, and eating habits of each resident, promptly reporting any changes to the nurse.
- Promptly report injuries, safety issues, and changes in residents' condition and/or needs.
- Assist in the admission and discharge processes.
- Compassionately assist with end-of-life care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- STNA certification.
- One (1) year of experience in a similar role, preferably within a Long Term Care, Assisted Living, and/or Memory Care community.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (English).
- Keen attention to detail.
- Caring and compassionate disposition.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and transporting residents.
Work Environment:
The Resident Assistant will work in a high-paced office/branch environment, interacting with employees and residents, and may be required to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts. The position requires the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 50+ lbs. occasionally. The Resident Assistant must be able to use software requiring the ability to identify colors and have PC literacy. A valid driver's license and auto insurance are also required.
Travel Requirements:
Limited travel may be required for various staff and client care service needs, and to attend required training and conferences.
