Role Summary:
The Procurement Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in the Strategic Business Unit, focusing on the sourcing and acquisition of essential materials and services. This position involves overseeing supplier performance and managing the complete purchase order lifecycle, including supplier development, solicitation of requirements, purchase order awards, and post-award management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Execute purchase orders of moderate complexity while adhering to all regulatory and corporate compliance standards.
- Support and lead negotiation strategies, focusing on price, delivery, scope, and terms.
- Conduct price and cost analysis to support proposals.
- Foster professional relationships with primary subcontractors.
- Collaborate closely with various functional teams to meet program objectives.
- Maintain purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience is necessary. Candidates should possess experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an SAP/PRISM environment.
- Familiarity with technical requirements of procured hardware and services, including Statement of Work (SOW) reviews.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Experience with various contractual vehicles, such as Cost Plus and Firm Fixed Price.
