Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at Industrial Manufacturing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for our manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Estimation: Review project plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive project estimates, taking into account time, materials, labor, and other resources required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project specifications and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Cost Analysis: Assess cost effectiveness and identify potential financial risks associated with projects.
  • Quality Control: Identify any non-compliances with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, estimates, or bids for submission to project managers using the required format.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of estimated costs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience in the design and installation of manufacturing systems, or a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or mathematics, or a professional certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Estimator Technician (CET).
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of building trades, industrial manufacturing environments, and OSHA standards.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical documents, and experience with databases and management software.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk extensively through factory environments, lift and carry objects safely, and communicate verbally and in writing with others.
