Job Summary:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure and efficient network infrastructure for the Glen Canyon ICS-Operations group in Page, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network security best practices and regulatory compliance standards, including NERC-CIP, FISMA, and NIST SP 800 series.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive network assessments to identify configurations, analyze traffic patterns, and review security measures.

Design a modernized network architecture incorporating centralized logging, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and monitoring tools to meet regulatory standards.

Advise on procurement, installation, configuration, and testing of network devices, ensuring proper integration and knowledge transfer for ongoing operations and maintenance.

Develop compliance documentation, policies, and procedures related to network engineering.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with proven expertise in network security best practices, regulatory compliance standards, and network design and implementation.

Experience in conducting network assessments, requirements analysis, and capacity planning, as well as familiarity with change management processes, testing environments, and issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a federal government IT environment, with knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) concepts using SAML and OAuth2, and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Vendor management and procurement experience, as well as experience with configuration management tools and version control systems.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
