Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete estimates and proposals for clients.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to estimators, including developing and implementing estimating procedures and best practices.
  • Assign and review work for subordinates, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
  • Oversee the preparation of routine proposals, including development of bid package documents and subcontractor and vendor solicitation requirements.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and study drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Establish bid packages and call lists, and distribute and review bidder information statements to facilitate subcontractor selection.
  • Distribute invitations to bid to potential bidders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in estimating commercial general contracting projects.
  • Previous field experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Construct Connect Takeoff and Timberline Estimating.
