Railcar Inspector

As a Railcar Inspector at Parsec, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our intermodal terminal operations. Your primary responsibility will be to verify the correct loading of containers and trailer numbers onto railcars, as well as ensuring that the list of railcars in the system matches the physical order on the strip tracks.

This is a unionized position, and after a 120-day probation period, you will become a union member. You must have open availability to work any needed shift and weekends, and be willing to adapt to a changing work environment.

• Accurately verify the car orders and freight loaded on inbound trains
• Verify the freight is accurately loaded on outbound trains
• Data Entry and assist supervisors with reports
• Responsible for special tasks requested by management and/or supervisor
• All other duties as assigned

• Drive pick-up truck to verify units and turn in reports
• Enter data into dash-mounted computer
• Printout reports
• Report information to train coordinators and the main offices
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with a variety of individuals
• Ability to listen, learn, take direction, make changes, and work alone or in a group environment

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License
• Must comply with established safety rules, policies, and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment
• Documented successful completion of lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background check and drug screening.
