About the Role

As a Certified Medicine Aide, you will work under the direction of a licensed nurse to administer medications and medicated creams within the standards of practice as permitted by your Certification and state regulations. Your responsibilities will include preparing and administering routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and documenting administration per policy.

You will also be responsible for maintaining medication supply, cleaning and restocking medicine carts and medicine room, notifying pharmacy of new medication orders and refills, and performing accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have completed a state-approved medication aide training course and a state-approved certified nursing assistant training program. You must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience as a CNA and able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
