Compensation: $55,000 to $66,000 Per Year
In this position, you will play a vital role in overseeing resident care through effective clinical nutrition management, serving in various capacities including administrative, scientific, and educational.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments
- Updating and maintaining patient care plans, including MDS documentation
- Ensuring compliance with the Medicare PDPM system to address all patient needs
- Documenting care in the electronic medical record system
- Utilizing meal planning software to meet patient dietary requirements
- Collaborating with culinary staff to enhance food service quality
- Participating in meal services to address any issues
- Conducting meal rounds to monitor resident intake
- Assisting in training for food service staff as necessary
- Managing dietary costs while ensuring optimal nutritional care
Focus on Diet Liberalization:
Our approach aims to empower long-term care residents to make informed dietary choices by offering regular diets, prioritizing real foods, and respecting personal preferences.
As part of your role, you will:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to communicate nutritional recommendations and weight changes
- Address nutrition-related concerns with interdisciplinary teams and facility management
- Inform residents and their representatives about dietary modifications and weight loss updates as needed
Qualifications Required:
- A valid Dietitian License in good standing for the state of Ohio
- The ability to work independently while fostering collaborative relationships with other professionals
