About the RoleAs a School OT, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of students by providing therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their full potential in school activities and daily life skills. Your responsibilities will include assessing students' needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with teachers and parents, and monitoring progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' functional abilities and needs.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address students' unique requirements.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and functional goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
- Stay updated with best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Pennsylvania state OT license or eligibility to obtain.
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered services.
