About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Care Companion to provide companionship and light caregiving support to a mobile client with sciatica and scoliosis. The ideal candidate will be social, patient, and have a passion for providing excellent care.

This role primarily involves monitoring the client's well-being, providing companionship, and assisting with daily activities such as skin care, breakfast, and lunch preparation based on the client's wake-up time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor client's health and provide companionship, engaging in conversations and activities.
  • Assist with light caregiving tasks, including skin care, breakfast, and lunch preparation based on the client's wake-up time.
  • Support the client during outings, such as haircuts and excursions, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Assist with mobility, being mindful of the client's use of two sticks instead of a walker.
  • Ensure the client's comfort and safety while encouraging independence.
  • Provide additional support as needed, focusing on enhancing the client's quality of life.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Must be based within Santa Clara County
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for client transportation.
  • Experience with geriatric care, especially with clients having mobility issues such as sciatica and scoliosis, is a plus.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on being social and engaging.
  • Must be patient, attentive, and able to follow a care plan.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience.
