Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our emergency department, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Assess and prioritize patients in the emergency department, providing individualized care and stabilizing patients as needed.
- Provide direct nursing care, supervise non-licensed nursing staff, and make necessary referrals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, with compact license accepted.
- Associate Degree; BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Current BLS- Healthcare Provider certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in an emergency room setting, with pediatric experience preferred.
