POSITION OVERVIEW

The Housekeeper is responsible for executing cleaning tasks throughout the community in accordance with established standards and protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are typical for this role. This list is not exhaustive, and additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

• Conducts cleaning activities based on a defined schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in designated areas including resident apartments, communal spaces, lounges, and administrative offices.

• Sweeps, dusts, mops, and sanitizes all floors and staircases; performs spot cleaning and vacuuming of floors, carpets, and rugs.

• Collects waste and disposes of it in designated collection points.

• Cleans, disinfects, and polishes restroom fixtures and facilities; replenishes supplies as necessary.

• Dusts, washes, and sanitizes furniture; cleans and shines glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills.

• Scrubs tiles in bathrooms and showers, along with woodwork and window frames.

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Reports maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

• Communicates supply and equipment requirements to the Housekeeping Supervisor for restocking.

• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

• Must demonstrate a genuine interest in working with the senior community.

• Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, preferably holding a high school diploma.

• Must be able to follow directions accurately.
