Job Summary:

Under the direction of a radiologist, the MR technologist will perform a variety of MR procedures on pediatric and adult patients, utilizing their knowledge of anatomical positioning, magnetic field safety, and cross-sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain patient history, explain the procedure, and gain consent for contrast material administration.
  • Perform all necessary checks for accuracy of the prescription, precertification/authorization, and patient identification.
  • Compile and review images, provide applicable comparison studies, and prepare documentation for interpretation.
  • Perform quality control testing as required and maintain equipment.

Credentials:

  • Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
  • Advanced level certification in MRI (MR) within 1 (one) year of hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Education Specialization:

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two-year certificate and/or associate degree (Required)
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Preferred)
