Job Title: Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Handler to join our team at King's Insurance Staffing. This role is ideal for individuals who possess excellent claim handling skills, strong analytical abilities, and exceptional communication skills.

About the Job:

This is a remote opportunity that involves handling mid to complex Workers Compensation Lost Time claims in FL and some NC, SC, GA from inception to close. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating claims to determine validity and extent of liability, coordinating medical treatment for injured workers, and ensuring legal, regulatory, and fair claims handling compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle mid to complex Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close;
  • Manage a pending range of 80 – 90 files;
  • Investigate claims to determine validity and extent of liability;
  • Properly investigate and evaluate each case by corresponding with agents, insureds, claimants, witnesses, and others;
  • Coordinate medical treatment for injured workers;
  • Review and evaluate documentation, including applications, reports, and statements;
  • Ensure legal, regulatory, and fair claims handling compliance;
  • Identify claims with subrogation potential and pursue reimbursement;
  • Set or recommend reserves based on results of claim investigation.
Requirements:
  • 5 - 10+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience;
  • Must be well-versed in FL and one or more of the following states: NC, SC, or GA;
  • Must hold an active FL Adjuster's License;
  • Must have experience handling litigated files;
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills;
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
