Salary: The hourly range for this position is $37.46 - $57.80 per hour, depending on experience, with a scheduled weekly hours of 36.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Imaging Specialist to join our team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasound images and obtaining appropriate measurements for each exam. You will also recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation.
Your responsibilities will include documenting all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly, obtaining and evaluating pertinent patient history and physical findings that may affect the sonographic examination, explaining procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation, monitoring during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being, communicating patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physician offices as required, maintaining the ultrasound equipment for cleanliness and ensuring proper equipment maintenance and equipment safety, calibrating and maintaining equipment and ordering supplies when needed, scheduling and coordinating tests, preparing and maintaining operational logs, and assisting with Quality Assurance/Improvements audits and activities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry, with successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and vascular)
- BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
- Ultrasound experience preferred
