Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator - Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating volunteer efforts in support of youth-driven activities in Bensenville and Villa Park. This role will focus on recruiting, screening, and placing volunteers, as well as managing volunteer inquiries and direct support requests.

• Recruit, screen, and place volunteers in assigned communities
• Manage volunteer inquiries and direct support requests to available resources and/or staff in a timely and responsive manner
• Network with other organizations, businesses, individuals, and influential support systems within assigned communities to establish relations and promote volunteerism, sponsorships, partnerships, and other supportive needs
• Creatively inspire and support assigned DLGs to define what they will be building and/or directing
• Assist with DuCAP designed special events and/or seasonal programming as needed

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or a related field
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Estimated salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year
