Position Overview
We are in search of a Director of Software Engineering to spearhead the design, execution, and oversight of technological solutions that bolster Ally's P2P and Supply Chain operations.
The ideal candidate will possess the capability to assess and enhance the performance of Software Development Managers and Developers within a collaborative framework.
This role carries the responsibility for project outcomes, resource management, budgeting, and ensuring the excellence of deliverables.
Collaboration with various technology partners will be essential to define and drive strategic requirements and solutions across development, infrastructure, and testing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve significant business results for the Procure-to-Pay Process transformation.
- Lead technology discussions with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations that inform technology-driven decisions.
- Utilize deep technical expertise to build data products and insights related to Spend Management Solutions.
- Collaborate across product, technology, and business lines to implement strategies leveraging Generative AI.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of technology professionals, ensuring timely performance evaluations and career development support.
- Define technological solutions to streamline business processes and minimize redundancy.
- Maintain effective communication with senior management and external partners.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within scope and budget.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring:
- 7-10+ years of extensive expertise in Procure-to-Pay Process transformation and Supply Chain applications.
- Experience in a regulated environment, particularly in financial services or related sectors.
- A proven track record in leadership roles managing the architecture and design of P2P technology solutions.
- Familiarity with Coupa P2P, Workday, and/or Ariba platforms, with specific knowledge in relevant modules.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for technical information dissemination.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
