Position Summary

We are actively seeking a Nuke Pipeline Developer for a full-time role. This position reports directly to the Pipeline Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Pipeline team and CG Technical Supervisors across various locations to design, develop, enhance, and maintain Zoic's Nuke pipeline.
  • Create and/or sustain Python or C++ plugins and extensions for third-party software utilized in the pipeline.
  • Participate in Pipeline meetings as necessary.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the deadlines established by Supervisors.
  • Develop production software, pipeline-related tools, and innovative solutions.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of pipeline tools.
  • Document the necessary end-user and developer guidelines for the tools developed.
  • Provide training and support to artists in utilizing the developed tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, or VFX.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in VFX within film, television, or gaming.
  • Proficient software development skills.
  • Expertise in procedural and object-oriented programming.
  • Capability to design and implement complex systems.
  • Production-level understanding of modular, large-scale digital asset management and version control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with Production Technology/IT/IS methodologies, practices, and trends.
  • Experience in user interface design and standard UI toolkits.
  • Preferred: Pipeline experience in any of the following disciplines:
    • Modeling, UV, Texturing, Shaders, LookDev, Lighting, Rendering.
  • Bonus: Experience with Ray Trace render engines; VRay knowledge is advantageous.
  • Bonus: Experience in third-party pipeline integration and plugin development for:
    • Maya
    • Houdini
    • Unreal Engine

Additional Information

  • Relocation costs are not covered.
  • Compensation Range: $45/hr – $65/hr, dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • Zoic Studios U.S. participates in the eVerify program.
