Maintenance Technician II

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks to maintain the guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in good repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair guestroom and public space equipment, including but not limited to, changing filters, replacing caulk, tile/grout repair, installing/repairing locking mechanisms and hinges, replacing light bulbs/ballasts, repairing closet/drapery tracks, furniture replacement/removal, repairing nicks and gouges, replacing remote control batteries, unclogging toilets and sinks, replacing faulty plumbing components, touching up paint and peeling wallpaper, etc.
• Inspect rooms for pest intrusion and inspect/replace cosmetic appliance components
• Complete planned scheduled preventative maintenance
• Maintain proper functioning of all equipment and tools
• Maintain detailed records, logs, and inspection sheets
• Establish a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership
• Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed by the engineering leadership

Requirements:

• 3+ years of general building maintenance experience
• Knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades in order to visually inspect and detect items needing repair
• Moderate mechanical skills to include the use of related tools (including both hand and electric tools)
• Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 40 feet, for extended periods of time, with the ability to reach, often times overhead
• Ability to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally waist high
• Basic English language communication in order to communicate with co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments
• High school diploma or equivalent
