Job Summary:

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Children\u0027s Hospital Medical Center of Akron works under the direct supervision of an anesthesiologist to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, with a focus on providing safe and effective anesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures under the direct supervision of an anesthesiologist.
2. Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures, including preparing patients for anesthesia, administering and maintaining anesthesia, and overseeing patient recovery.
3. Perform administrative functions to support the department\u0027s overall functioning and quality of services.
4. Maintain an approved supervision agreement and review and revise as needed.
5. Participate in performance improvement projects to enhance patient care and department efficiency.

Requirements:
1. Master\u0027s degree in a related field is required; Doctorate degree is preferred.
2. Registered Nurse licensure, CRNA certification, Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification, and ACLS certification is required.
3. 0 to 2 years of experience in anesthesia is preferred.
4. None years of experience supervising is required.
