We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Parsons State Hospital & Training Center. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for residents and meeting ICF requirements by preparing physician-directed special diets.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food for residents
- Meet ICF requirements by preparing physician-directed special diets
- Learn and follow instructions and procedures, both orally and in writing
- Understand and follow standard recipes
- Perform basic math computations and accurately weigh and measure ingredients
- One year of experience in commercial/institutional cooking preferred
- Education may be substituted as determined relevant by the agency
- Valid Kansas driver's license required for staff who operate a motor vehicle
- Pass a law enforcement security clearance in compliance with policies of the Department of Aging and Disability Services
