LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our manufacturing client's procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating goods and services at competitive prices while ensuring the quality and timely delivery of materials. As a key member of the procurement team, you will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, forecasting inventory needs, and contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities, ensuring strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining product quality and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support business operations without overstocking, coordinating with the warehouse team for timely receipt and distribution.
  • Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and communication with all relevant parties.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with company policies, quality standards, and ethical practices, managing vendor performance and addressing any discrepancies in orders or deliveries.
  • Work closely with the production, sales, and finance teams to forecast future demand and align purchasing strategies with business goals.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing metrics, cost savings, and supplier performance, assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes related to procurement.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with global sourcing and procurement.
