Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Texas de Brazil in Cincinnati, OH. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and ensuring seamless table management.

Compensation

This is an hourly (non-exempt) position offering $14-$18/hour + tips, making it a competitive pay opportunity in the Cincinnati area. You can also expect great benefits, including restaurant discounts and insurance benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Manage phone calls in a positive and friendly manner, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  • Efficiently seat guests at tables, maintaining a smooth and organized service flow.
  • Assist with opening and closing side work, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.
  • Answer questions about food, beverages, and service styles, showcasing your knowledge and expertise.
  • When possible, open doors for guests entering or leaving the restaurant, adding a touch of Texas de Brazil hospitality.
  • Notify parties when their table becomes available, keeping them informed and engaged.
  • Provide estimated waiting times, setting clear expectations and managing guest expectations.
  • Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible, showing appreciation for diverse needs.
  • Upon seating, offer menus and introduce servers, ensuring a seamless handover.
  • Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness, upholding high standards.
  • Assist team members as needed, promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return, fostering loyalty and retention.
