Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Facilities Technician to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated material handling systems.

With a strong focus on safety and efficiency, you will work closely with our Facilities Supervisor to complete preventive maintenance tasks and routine repairs on automated material handling system components.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and routine repairs on automated material handling system components
  • Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation and controls
  • Basic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components
  • Be a subject matter expert for conveyors, cross belt system, Dematic Multi Shuttle System/Goods to Person System
  • Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center
  • Work at heights and in unusual positions
  • Must be available for 24-hour on-call rotation
  • Knowledge and application of safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO) standards and Arc Flash
  • Follow codes, such as the NEC, BOCA and UBC, MSDS and OSHA
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems
  • 2+ years of experience with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS programs
  • Experience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, and gauges
  • Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEO) drawings and schematics
